If, after the class is over and you've received your final grade, you would like to trim down your project to just the portions of the media files that are actually in use, you can use the “Media Manager” to do that. If you accidentally delete all the work you’ve done on your project because you were messing around with Media Manager, you’ll be very unhappy. However, for the purposes of this class, you’re better off simply capturing your footage one time, putting your tapes somewhere safe as a ‘backup’ and leaving your footage on the computer until you are completely done with it and the class has ended.
